Postdoctoral Research Opportunity
A Postdoctoral Research Scientist is required for a project in plant
disease resistance signaling. The position is available immediately
for three years.
The successful candidate will join a laboratory investigating signal
transduction events in specific disease resistance in plants. We are
conducting structure-function analyses of defined proteins,
investigating post-translational modifications and formation of active
signaling complexes, and identifying new pathway members. The
successful applicant will analyse Pto kinase of tomato (see Scofield
1996 Science 274, 2063; Rathjen 1999 EMBO J 18, 3232).
Applicants require a PhD and should be highly motivated. Significant
experience with affinity purification of proteins is required.
Experience in plant biology is not a prerequisite. Informal enquiries
