One postdoctoral position and one research technician position are available
in my laboratory at the Danforth Plant Science Center. The positions concern
studies of functional genomics and the signaling pathway in the disease
resistance response in Arabidopsis. Research activities will include a
combination of plant molecular biology, GeneChip data analysis, protein
biochemistry, and cell biology.

	1.	The postdoctoral position. Candidates should have a PhD with
a strong background in plant molecular biology and/or protein biochemistry.
Previous research experience in Arabidopsis molecular genetics is preferred
but not required.
	2.	The research technician position. Responsible for performing
experiments involving molecular biology protocols as well as growing
Arabidopsis and maintaining tissue culture. Candidates should have a BS/MS
degree in a biology related field.

The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center was established in 1998 as a
not-for-profit, independent center for research in the plant sciences. The
Center's state-of-the-art facility located in St. Louis will be open in
September 2001.
