PostDoc Position at Seoul National University, The Choe Lab.

A position for post-doctoral research associate is available in the lab
of plant biochemical genetics at Seoul National University (Seoul,
Korea). Previously, I have isolated and characterized quite a few genes
encoding brassinosteroid biosynthetic enzymes using molecular genetic
analysis of Arabidopsis dwarf mutants. These include steroid 22a-
hydroxylase (CYP90B1), steroid delta-7 reductase, steroid C-5
desaturase, and steroid C-24 reductase. Many more exciting genes and
genetic materials that are thought to be involved brassinosteroid
metabolism as well as signal transduction are available for further
analysis. The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting
genetic and molecular analyses of these genes in Arabidopsis.

Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. in molecular biology and/or
genetics and a proven publication record. Prior experience with plants
is not required. Salary for this position is commensurate with
experience. For further information, contact: Dr. Sunghwa Choe, School
of biological sciences, College of Natural Sciences, Seoul National
University, Seoul 151-747, Korea. E-mail: shchoe at Tel: +82-2-
880-6691, Fax: +82-2-872-1993. Interested individuals are asked to send
a resume or curriculum vitae with three names of prospective references
to Dr. Choe. The position will remain open until filled. Seoul National
University (SNU) is located in a capital city (Seoul) of South Korea,
famous for cultural traditions and four distinct seasons.
