MPI for Plant Breeding Research

The Department of Molecular Plant Genetics at the Max Planck=20
Institute for Plant Breeding Research in Cologne=20
(<http://www.mpiz-koeln.mpg.de/>http://www.mpiz-koeln.mpg.de/) is=20
seeking as from January 1st 2002 a:

Post-doctoral Research Scientist (BAT IIa)

proteins and their role in Arabidopsis development. In particular,=20
he/she will screen for interacting proteins and possible target genes.

The SBP-domain represents a novel DNA-binding protein domain unique=20
to plants. In Arabidopsis, SBP-domain proteins are encoded by the SPL=20
genes, forming a structural heterogeneous gene family of putative=20
transcription factors.

Candidates should hold a PhD with relevant experience in the field of=20
molecular genetics and in particular have knowledge of and practical=20
experience in protein expression systems. The appointment will be for=20
