The Department of Biology at the University of Richmond, a highly
selective, private, primarily undergraduate university invites
applications for two tenure-track positions with at least one
appointment at a senior level (associate or full professor). Each
successful candidate will be expected to maintain a research program
that combines genetic analysis and molecular biology, attracts
extramural funding, and actively engages undergraduates. Teaching
excellence that includes participation in the introductory genetics
course and an upper division elective in area of specialization is
expected. We seek compelling applications from advanced or mid-career
biologists who have distinguished records of accomplishment as well
as from especially strong candidates at the junior level (a doctoral
degree, postdoctoral experience, and a record of research
productivity are required).
