A Research Assistant position is available on a molecular genetics
project to identify pre-mRNA splicing signals in Arabidopsis. The
successful candidate will construct mutant alleles, generate transgenic
plants, and document marker gene expression. This research is supported
by a grant from the NSF under the 2010 program.
We are looking for someone who is motivated and organized, with a
demonstrated ability to conduct molecular biology research. This will
normally mean a Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or
plant biology, and at least one year's laboratory experience.
