available for three years (extendable to
five years) in a young team at the Heidelberg Institute of Plant Sciences
(HIP). http://www.hip.uni-hd.de

We are employing a variety of techniques including molecular genetics,
Arabidopsis genetics and GFP-tagging/fluorescence microscopy to investigate the
mechanism and the regulation of polar plant cell growth. The ideal candidate
for the open position is a specialist in the areas of plant molecular biology
and biochemistry, and has excellent communication skills.

The position is compensated at the BAT IIa level (salary depends on experience
and marital status/ includes support for health insurance and a retirement
plan). Heidelberg is a beautiful city at the river Neckar, a key research
center in Germany (~20'000 students; University, DFKZ, EMBL, Max Planck
