Dear netters,
is there a listing of (the most commonly used) Agrobacterium strains
available, somewhere?
I often try to figure out what is the genomic background of a certain
strain. Say, you read a paper where the authors use a GV2760 strain. My
library doesn't carry this particular paper and there is no e-mail address
available, or the guys moved - well, you probably know this kind of things.
After one our of "googeling" and "CCing" you find that this strain might
actually be LBA4404 with a T-DNA-less derivative of pTiA6NC. Or,no wait, it
might be LBA with a pTiAch5 derivative, or ... screams of dispair are
disrupting the quiet of the lab, glas is shattering and madness approaches!
Please, help!!!
Klaus
