"Position Available:  Postdoctoral Associate at the Torrey Mesa Research
Institute


Description:

Our Plant Health Department is studying abiotic stress regulated gene
expression with the goal of creating stress tolerant crop plants.  We are
profiling gene expression changes using Affymetrix GeneChips and need
assistance in data mining and downstream experimentation.  Ideal candidate
will have proven plant molecular biology skills; experience in abiotic
stress highly preferred.  Responsibilities include developing an independent
research project and participating in a team addressing agronomically
important questions.  Successful candidate is encouraged to publish and
present his/her work at national and international meetings and to be a part
of the thriving local plant biology community.  Expected time to fill
