The Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research
a Foundation mainly financed by the Land Sachsen-Anhalt and the Federal
Republic of Germany with well over 400 employees has a vacancy for a
POST DOCTORAL RESEARCH SCIENTIST.
The project is supported by the DFG-research programme "Functional
architecture of the cell nucleus".
The goal is to elucidate heterochromatin assembly in Arabidopsis thaliana in
correlation with DNA methylation and histone modifications along various
cell cycle and development stages. The main methods to be applied are in
situ hybridization and immunolabelling of defined DNA
sequences/proteinaceous antigens on isolated and flow sorted nuclei,
replication and transcription analyses, confocal microscopy and electronic

the level IIa BAT-O.
