Mendel Biotechnology, Inc. (www.mendelbio.com) is a pioneer in the
application of functional genomics to the study of plant genes. Mendel's
mission is to discover the function of important plant genes and to develop
and commercialize high-value products based on these discoveries.
Two PhD level positions are available for postdoctoral associates or
research scientists. These scientists will concentrate on follow-up work
on leads generated by Mendel=EDs functional genomics program. Projects will
concentrate on elucidation of signal transduction pathways, assay
development, and evaluation of the commercial potential of leads.
Experience in plant molecular biology and the ability to work well in a
team-based environment are required. Expertise in nutrient uptake or
disease resistance is particularly desirable.
Positions are also available for experienced Research Associates.
Applicants should have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree, laboratory experience in
molecular biology, and the ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary
team-based environment. Previous experience in plant biology is a plus.
Applicants should send a resume and a brief cover letter describing
professional experience to:
