Do plant cells uptake AdoMet?

Dear Friends,

I have a new question. (This time I promise to feedback soon).

I believe, and I hear, that S-adenosyl methionine (AdoMet) is not
efficiently taken up by plant protoplasts, whereas yeast cells have a system
for active incorporation of AdoMet.

Do anyone know a reference that shows evidence for, or clearly states that,
AdoMet is not efficiently taken up by plant protoplasts or plant cell
cultures.

Regards,
Satoshi Naito
