cell death assay?

Hi all,

We're interested in quantifying cell death in Arabidopsis leaves, such
as after methyl viologen treatment.  I'm aware of assays that work on
suspension cell cultures, but are there any relatively simple assays
that work on whole leaves?  Thanks!
