<x-flowed>A postdoc position in plant development will be available starting
July 1, 2003 at Michigan State University.  The research focus is the
characterization of factor(s) contributing to a previously
unrecognized mechanism of epigenetic gene regulation governing
flowering timing and flower development [Zhang et al., Genetics
164(1), 2003; Plant J. 31, 2002]. Approaches may include genetic and
molecular epistasis analyses, affinity tagging and
coimmunopurification in transgenic plants and protein mass spec
analyses.  The postdoc will work closely with a small group of
imaginative and fun collaborators from Genetics, Cell and Molecular
Biology, Horticulture, and the MSU-DOE Plant Research Lab.  The
position is funded for three years.

Applicants need not have experience with plants, but should have a
good background in genetics, development and molecular biology.
Previous experience with protein purification will be helpful.  Those
