Plant Molecular Biology & Genomics
The Agricultural Research Service of the Department of Agriculture
invites applications for a Plant Molecular Biologist/Geneticist to be
located at Urbana, Illinois. The position is intended to conduct
basic genetic, molecular genetic, and genomic research investigating
the response of photosynthesis and photosynthate partitioning in
crops and model plants to atmospheric change. The research should
focus on identifying the underlying genetic determinants of improved
response to carbon dioxide fertilization, ozone tolerance, and their
interactions with other agriculturally important stresses as well as
to test potential transgenic amelioration and improvement strategies.
This a full time permanent position in the Photosynthesis Research
Unit. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and salary is commensurate
with qualifications ($56,463 to $87,289). USDA/ARS is an equal
