Tenure track faculty positions in Plant Molecular Biology / Molecular,
Cellular and Developmental Biology

The Department of Biology at McGill University invites applications
for tenure-track or tenured faculty positions in molecular, cellular,
and/or developmental biology.  We are primarily considering candidates
for hiring at the Assistant Professor level, although more senior
candidates will be evaluated for hiring at the Associate or Full
Professor rank. For one position we are seeking candidates working on
genetically well-characterized model plant systems. Candidates working
on animal or fungal model organisms will be considered for other
possible positions. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and post-doctoral
experience as well as an established record of scientific
accomplishment. The successful candidates are expected to
significantly contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching in the
department and to establish their own externally funded research

The McGill Biology Department provides an interactive environment with
research groups working on a range of subjects in yeast, C. elegans,
Drosophila, Xenopus, maize, Arabidopsis and other model organisms
(also see http://www.mcgill.ca/biology/). A competitive start up
package will be provided and in addition successful candidates have
the opportunity to apply for significant equipment packages through
the Canadian Foundation for Innovation mechanism.
