POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW IN PLANT GENOMICS Level A

We are seeking to appoint a postdoctoral fellow in a research team 
led by Barry Pogson. The project is a genomic and photophysical 
investigation of photoprotection and abiotic stress resistance in 
plants. The position is funded by the Australian Research Council 
grant to Drs Pogson, Chow and Gilmore (ANU) in collaboration with 
Profs Niyogi (USA) and Itoh (Japan). See Plant Physiol 130:1109;

successful candidate will be a part of a team studying 
photoprotection, plant responses to abiotic and environmental stress 
and carotenoid metabolism.

The successful applicant should have completed or nearly completed a 
PhD. Ideally, the position requires experience in genomics, 
Arabidopsis molecular and biochemical techniques, abiotic stress and 
experience in studying the mechanisms of photoprotection and 
photosynthesis.

Salary: Postdoctoral Fellow (Level A) $42,317 - $51,066 pa plus 17% 
employer contribution superannuation benefit and assistance towards 
travel and removal. (A successful applicant holding a PhD will be 
appointed at $47,721 pa minimum.)
