Position for postdoctoral fellow

We require an experienced molecular biologist to be part of the 
Aushort Key Genes team, which is isolating and characterising genes 
to improve the performance of horticultural crops. One area of the 
project is aimed at increasing our understanding of the regulation of 
the flavonoid pathway which leads to the formation of anthocyanin, 
tannin and flavonols in plants. The successful candidate will study 
the interaction of regulatory genes in model plants such as 
Arabidopsis to ultimately develop tools for modifying flavonoids in 
horticultural crops. The appointee will also interact with scientists 
applying this knowledge to important crops such as grapevines and 
apples.
