A three year funded postdoctoral position is available immediately to
study the regulation of auxin signaling in Arabidopsis at UCLA. The
project will focus of the characterization of activation-tagged
mutants that enhance or suppress the phenotype of a weak pinoid
mutant. Specific goals include mapping insertions, identification of
transcriptionally modified genes and characterization of genes with
respect to auxin mediated transport or signaling processes. The
successful applicant will be a highly motivated Ph.D with an
established publication record who has ability to conduct independent
research in plant biology. A strong background in genetics, molecular
biology or biochemistry is required. The project will require the
ability to supervise and train students and to collaborate with other
researchers and will require excellent written and oral communication
skills.
