The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at WPI expects to hire a 
tenure-track assistant professor to begin in August 2004.  Candidates 
with post-doctoral experience in any area of biochemistry are invited 
to apply.  Preference will be given to those applicants whose field 
of expertise will enhance our established research programs in plant 
biochemistry, plant-pathogen interactions and membrane biochemistry. 
The successful applicant will be expected to develop an 
externally-funded, nationally-recognized research program and provide 
teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Applicants should send a resume, a three-page statement of research 
plans and a one-page statement of teaching experience and philosophy. 
Applicants should also have three letters of recommendation sent
