Post Doc position Dept of Plant Sciences, Univ of Oxford: Evolution of leaf
development programmes in crucifers. This project is funded by the
Comparative Development Initiative of the BBSRC. The grant holder is Dr
Miltos Tsiantis and the successful applicant will be under his immediate
direction. The group currently comprises of three postdoctoral researchers,
three graduate students and one technician.

The aim of this project is to understand how taxon-specific restructuring of
shoot development pathways leads to novel leaf forms. The successful
candidate needs to be strongly motivated, able to work in an internationally
competitive research area and have expertise in molecular
genetics/development biology and knowledge of, or strong interest in, plant
development. Previous experience in Arabidopsis genetics would be an
advantage. The appointment, which is for a minimum of one year, is on the
RA1A scale starting on a point within the range =A319,460 - =A324,820
