Postdoctoral position, molecular plant pathology

A two-year postdoctoral position is available in the Disease Group at 
Mendel Biotechnology, Inc., located in Hayward, CA.  Mendel scientists have 
identified a clade of Arabidopsis transcription factors that provide 
broad-spectrum disease resistance in transgenic lines.  The research focus 
for this position will be to understand the mechanism by which 
broad-spectrum resistance is obtained, and to optimize the phenotype 
provided by these genes for use in crop plants.  Expertise in plant 
molecular biology and genetics required.   Knowledge of plant pathology and 
experience with Arabidopsis are highly desirable.  Good communication
