Roadmap to the Plant Cuticle: Gene Expression in the Plant Epidermis

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join the UBC Cuticle group in the Botany Department, UBC, in Vancouver, Canada. We are using functional genomics, in combination with molecular-genetic (Kunst Lab; kunst at interchange.ubc.ca ), cell biological (Samuels Lab; lsamuels at interchange.ubc.ca ), and chemical approaches (Jetter Lab; jetter at interchange.ubc.ca) to investigate how epidermal cells produce the waxy "skin" that covers the surface of all land plants.

Candidates with demonstrated abilities to carry out outstanding research in the fields of cell biology, genetics, or biochemistry, are encouraged to apply. Previous experience with functional genomics and/or bioinformatics is desirable.

Please use the above email addresses to forward your application information, including curriculum vitae and the names and contact information (address, phone, fax and e-mail) for three references. UBC hires on the basis of merit and is committed to employment equity.
