Postdoctoral position available
Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg, Germany
UV-B perception and signalling in plants

Applications are invited for an initially 2-year Postdoc position to
study interaction and modification of UV-B signalling components in
Arabidopsis. Our laboratory has a strong interest in the regulation of
UV-B-induced photomorphogenesis in plants
(www.biologie.uni-freiburg.de/data/bio2/schaefer/AG-Ulm/). We explore
genetic approaches to identify the molecular factors involved in this
process. The key factors are analysed by combining a variety of
state-of-the-art tools in molecular genetics, cell biology and biochemistry.

The successful candidate is highly motivated and has a strong interest
and demonstrated expertise in biochemistry and/or molecular genetics.
Previous experience with molecular techniques is essential. Prior
experience with Arabidopsis is desirable, but not essential.

The laboratory is located in the Department of Botany, Institute of
Biology II, with a strong tradition in the field of plant photobiology
(www.biologie.uni-freiburg.de/forschung/botanik.php).

Please send a cover letter detailing research interests and experience
(incl. possible starting date), a full CV and contact details of three
