[Arabidopsis] Dye which can be uptaken by intact root of Arabidopsis

Hello. 

I am wondering if there is a dye which can be uptaken by intact root of
Arabidopsis.
I’d like to monitor the solute uptake from different regions of root. 

Any information will be appreciated.
