Position Announcement:
Position: Post-doctoral research associate in tree biotechnology.
Qualifications: Candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Plant Science, Botany,
Biology or a related discipline. Prior experience with tissue culture,
transformation and molecular biology is desired.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include development of regeneration
system, micropropagation of pecan plants for distribution, field and
molecular evaluation (such as AFLP) of regenerated plants, genetic
engineering of relevant genes and molecular characterization of
transgenic lines. The successful candidate must be able to independently
design and conduct experiments and willing to work on other projects in
the laboratory.
Salary: Commensurate with experience. Funding is available for three
years.
