Two Faculty Positions
Department of Genetics
North Carolina State University
The Department of Genetics at North Carolina State University seeks
applications at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level for two tenure-track
faculty positions. We seek outstanding individuals whose research
interests and model systems add breadth to and complement the existing
strengths of the Department (see http://www.cals.ncsu.edu/genetics/ for
additional information).
A Geneticist, with research interests exploring fundamental biological
problems using eukaryotic model organisms. Dr. William R. Atchley,

An Evolutionary/Population Geneticist, with research interests
exploring fundamental problems in evolutionary and population genetics.
Dr. Trudy F. C. Mackay, Chair of Evolutionary/Population Genetics
Search, position # 01-09-0609.
Applicants must have a Ph.D., postdoctoral research experience,
teaching experience and clear evidence of productivity, creativity and
independence. Successful candidates will participate in undergraduate
and graduate teaching and are expected to develop a vigorous
extramurally funded research program.
