Plant Cell Wall Biochemistry
The Department of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology
(www.bb.iastate.edu) at Iowa State University seeks to hire a
tenure-track Assistant Professor. The Department is particularly
interested in candidates with expertise and research interests in the
biochemistry, molecular biology, and biotechnology of plant cell
walls. The Department offers an interactive research environment
with excellent research facilities, including a full range of core
facilities to support research in genomics, proteomics, metabolomics,
NMR, and microscopy. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a relevant
field, postdoctoral experience and are expected to establish a
nationally prominent research program. Additionally, applicants are
expected to actively participate in graduate and undergraduate
teaching. The expected appointment is at the level of Assistant
Professor (tenure-track). Excellent laboratory space and a generous
startup package will be made available.

two page summary of prior research, a concise description of future
research plans and a statement regarding teaching philosophy and
