Presented by world-leading Cold Spring Harbor Lab, this 5-day workshop
introduce high school and community college educators to laboratory
and computer-based methods for plant gene analysis. You will use
polymerase chain reaction (PCR), agarose gel electrophoresis, and
bioinformatics to study genes in the model plant, Arabidopsis
thaliana, as well as important food crops. Learn a real-life
application of forensic biology when you screen everyday foods for
evidence of genetic modification (GM).
