[Arabidopsis] Postdoctoral position at the Noble Foundation

A three year postdoctoral fellow position (Position ID: PB-S095-694) is available at the Plant Biology Division of the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation beginning early 2012  to work on the N-acylethanolamine (NAE) signaling pathway in plants. This is a DOE-funded position in collaboration with Dr. Kent Chapman at the Center for Plant Lipid Research, University of North Texas. Renewal for a second or third year is contingent on continued funding by the DOE as well as first year performance. The research involves understanding the mechanism of NAE action in plant development/stress responses using biochemical, genetic, cell biological and genomic approaches. Please see publications regarding our on-going NAE research (PNAS 103: 12197-12202; Plant Cell 19:2454-2469; Plant J. 56: 336-349 J. Biol. Chem 284: 34065-34074; Plant Sci. 178: 411-419). Applicants should have a Ph.D. in molecular genetics and/or biochemistry. Prior experience using Arabidopsis will be advantageous. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong communication skills, be self-motivated, and have the ability to work independently.
