The internationally renowned series of New Phytologist Symposia (NPS) aim t=
o support emerging and key areas of research. Usually these meetings would =
be expected to extend over one to three days, with invited speakers and a m=
aximum of 120 delegates. In this way we hope to provide an informal atmosph=
ere for the stimulation and exchange of ideas and the building of collabora=
tions. We particularly encourage the involvement of early career scientists=
and as such a number of travel grants will be awarded in association with =
each meeting.

Information about past and upcoming symposia can be found here: http://www.=
We also welcome workshop proposals throughout the year and we can support w=
orkshops scheduled from 2016 onwards. To submit a proposal for a workshop d=
ownload and complete the proposal pro forma ( http://www.newphytologist.org=
/app/webroot/img/upload/files/NPWorkshopProposal_proforma2015%281%29.docx )=
and email this to the Managing Editor (np-managinged from lancaster.ac.uk).

workshops or feel free to get in touch with any queries.

New Phytologist Workshops aim to facilitate advances in plant science by br=
inging together a small number of scientists (up to 20) who wish to focus a=
nd brainstorm a particular topic or issue. The format is intentionally flex=
ible to suit a range of projects, but this might, for example, include a wo=
rking group that intends to focus on analysing new data or indeed analysing=
old data in the light of new techniques and planning the way forward. Awar=
ds are usually in the region of =A35=9610k.
