Postdoc and PhD student positions in epigenomic regulation of environmental responses

The Ying Li lab at Purdue University Horticulture (https://ag.purdue.edu/hla/Pages/Profile.aspx?strAlias=li2627&intDirDeptID=16) seeks applicants for a postdoc position and a PhD student position, which offer excellent opportunities for interdisciplinary training in plant genetics, genomics, epigenomics and systems biology.

The project aims to apply cutting-edge molecular tools and computational approaches to probe gene regulatory networks underlying environmental responses. The ultimate goal is to identify key molecular players, including epigenetic regulators, to engineer better crops that are more resilient to adverse conditions.

Candidates should have a strong background in plant genetics and molecular biology. Candidates with experience and interest in the following areas are encouraged to apply: 1) epigenetic regulation, especially chromatin modification, 2) computational biology and bioinformatics, 3) genome editing and plant transformation.

These positions are available after Jan 2017. Questions about these positions or applications including a cover letter, CV and the names of three referees can be addressed by email to Ying Li (li2627 from purdue.edu). Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
