An open rank "Quantitative Plant Biochemistry" faculty position is available at Michigan State University.

The Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at Michigan State University (MSU) is inviting applications for a tenure position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor levels for individuals using large-scale "omic" datasets and quantitative/computational approaches to address questions in plant biochemistry, developmental biology and/or systems biology in model plant, algal, or agronomically important crop systems. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to Quantitative Genomics, Genetics, Biochemistry, Synthetic Biology, and Systems Biology. Candidates with prior experience in computational methods to process, statistically analyze, and interpret large-scale plant "omic" datasets to address biochemical questions are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and a strong record of accomplishments and publications. Successful applicants will contribute to undergraduate and/or graduate teaching and maintain an externally-funded research program.
To apply, applicants must provide curriculum vitae, summary of research accomplishments and future research objectives, brief description of teaching philosophy and goals, and a list of three references in a single PDF document to bmb.search from msu.edu<mailto:bmb.search from msu.edu> and to the MSU Human Resources site at http://jobs.msu.edu/ (posting #4291).

The review of applications will begin December 5, 2016, and continue until suitable candidates are identified. Questions regarding this position may be emailed to Search Chair at bmb.search from msu.edu<mailto:bmb.search from msu.edu>.

This position is part of MSU's Global Impact Initiative that will recruit 100 top-level researchers to MSU over the next five years (see http://research.msu.edu/global-impact). MSU is world renowned for plant science research and we are seeking candidates that will strengthen and complement on-going research on campus.
