<html> <head> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=us-ascii"> <meta name=Generator content="Microsoft Word 10 (filtered)"> <style>  </style> </head> <body lang=EN-US link=blue vlink=purple> <div class=Section1> The Plant Genomics Consortium at The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) seeks graduate students interested in National Science Foundation funded evolutionary plant genomics research program.  The Consortium is a multidisciplinary group composed of scientists from NYBG, New York University, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and the American Museum of Natural History.  We are using genomic approaches to understand the molecular basis of evolution and development in ancient, living seed plants including cycads, ginkgo, and non-seed plants such as Selaginella.  The future student will have the opportunity to engage in research to examine the origins and diversification of genes and how these changes led to the appearance of unique and important structures.  The student will have the opportunity to gain expertise in Botany, Development, Molecular Genetics and Genomics and Bioinformatics.  Research will be conducted in the new Pfizer Plant Genomics Research Building.  For more information please contact:     Eric D.
