looking for a castable <b>elastomer</b> used as sealing in aqueous environment
compatible with polymerase chain reaction PCR, i.e. hybridization of
oligonucleotides and amplification of DNA
- 2K, heat cure
- visc. 3000 - 9000 cps
- pot life long enough for deaeration (generally > 1h)
- Shore A 30 - 60
- after cure in contact with aqueous solution pH 5-9 for 2h
- temperatures 0 - 100 °C for some ten cycles several minutes each
- transparent (to be precise: non-fluorescent)
Already encountered partial or total inhibition of PCR
using different silicones and polyurethanes.
Also looking for <b>adhesive</b> compatible with polymerase chain reaction
PCR, i.e. solid-phase hybridization of oligonucleotides and amplification
of DNA, to glue-bond borosilicate glass chips into polypropylene tubes
- preferably 1K, full cure below 60°C, UV cure for 20 secs. max.
- visc. preferrably 4000 - 9000 cps
- after cure in contact with aqueous solution pH 5-9 for 2h
- temperature 100 °C for five minutes
- color/transparency no issue,
but crystal clear would broaden the application field for me
- low outgassing
