HANDS-ON MICROARRAY WORKSHOP
March 16-19, 2003
University of Arizona
Tucson, Arizona
This three-day workshop will comprise a combination of lectures and hand-on
laboratory sessions, in which participants will be introduced to use of
microarrays in genomic research. The laboratory work will primarily employ
Arabidopsis 26,000 element 70-mer oligonucleotide microarrays (for details of
these arrays see http://www.ag.arizona.edu/microarray).
Topics to be covered include:
Experimental design.
Probe preparation and microarray printing.
Target preparation.
Microarray hybridization, using manual and automated methods.
Array scanning.
Data extraction and analysis.
Registration is $500, which includes costs of the Arabidopsis 70-mer
oligonucleotide microarrays that you will use. Participants will be limited to
16 on a first-come, first-serve basis.
