Good point Jeff,
    However it seems as if you see the Aud as an extention of Audiology
or an addition, but most Audiologist (and me) that I come into contact
with feel that the Aud is a degree that is already entitle to them just
by virtue of education, knowledge and experience. Not every AuD
audiolgist will be as proficient as another, but the same goes with any
profession ... Yes even MD's.
