The code free Sony DVD Player actually retails for about $870.00
(equivalent in Yen) in Japan. I checked this out on a Japanese site
where they gave the retail and their sale price which was approx $50.00 
less! Thus, the $1100.00 asking price (from  www.hkstar.com/~jlove) 
does seem a bit steep. FYI only.	Cheers,
