Hearing Therapy

I am an audiologist working in Scotland, within the National Health
Service. I am interested to know how others view the role of hearing
therapy within the field of audiology. My employer is about to send me on a
course to London for a year in order to improve our service for the hearing
impaired. 

Most audiologists seem to treat therapists with contempt - I hope I'm not
making a big mistake!!!!
