The 1997 Conference on Developments in Pediatric Audiology:  Current Issues in 
Assessment and Management will be held October 17-19, 1997 at Boys Town
National Research Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska.  Invited speakers include Drs.
Arthur Boothroyd, Judith Gravel, Mary Jo Osberger, Richard Seewald, and
Christie Yoshinaga-Itano.  The conference focuses on identification and
quantification of hearing loss in infants and young children, fitting and
verification of amplification systems for children including the use of
advanced signal processing hearing aids and classroom amplification technology,
and current issues in management including intervention priorities, device and 
treatment efficacy, and cochlear implant  efficacy and candidacy.
