TE Vs DP OAE's

Sorry. I didn't see the post earlier.

What you saw is most likely the difference of sensitivity to
outer hair
cell damage between the two type of testing. TEOAEs are
typically more sensitive to subtle damage than DPOAEs due to
the nature of the stimulus type and level. The click,
especially if delivered at levels between 70 and 80dbSPL,
supplys much less energy to any given frequency place/region
than a puretone. The stronger DPs can often mislead you if
you run
them too high. You might try them lower, 65/55 or 60/50. You
didn't
mention what stim levels you were using for the two tests,
but I suspect this is a big part of the puzzle. You may
still get a difference between the two. Most major clinic I
have chatted with run two levels of DPOAES together with a
TEOAE to get the whole picture. There are other differences
between the two techniques but I would start there.
