Props for teaching concept of intensity to deaf children

Dear all,

Can you please suggest some props/devices to teach very
young deaf children (4-7 years old) the concept of  intensity.
 I have some ideas like dim light to very bright light and cold 
to very hot. Any ideas on other different props I can use to 
teach this concept via visual or touch.
