Phillips Hearing Aids has done the early research on CIC with their
Peritympanic
fitting.  Starkey Labs has a lot of research information on canal
resonance and CIC fittings.  You may also want to contact Dr. Roy Sullivan
in NY as a reference source.  If I can I will try to get you more info.
