Why all of the hostility towards ASHA? What can membership in AAA or ADA
accomplish that membership in ASHA cannot? If audiologists want state
licensure
to be the professional standard, will it be prohibitive towards leaving
work and relocating to another state ( I don't want to live in North
Dakota forever). I think
that it is the Zeitgeist or "mind of the times" nowadays for audiologists
to trash ASHA, without really thinking about it. Let's face it- do all
Audiologists only want 
to set up a private practice only dispensing hearing aids and hearing aids
alone?
This is the ideal according to AAA and Earl Harford. If so, what
distinguishes us
from hearing aid dealers who have no formal education? Let's think before
we e-mail messages, and let's form opinions independently, without fanning
the flames of hysteria.
