This is not completely related, but I have found that babies in the intermediate level nursery between NICU and regular "OK" babies will fail an OAE screening on the ear that is normally "down" if the baby only fails in one ear. Middle ear fluid? crud in the canal? collapsing canals? coincidence? Susan
