Question about Stickler Syndrome

Hello-
         I was curious what specifically causes sensori-neural hearing loss
in Stickler's Syndrome.  I know that it's a genetic disorder that affects
connective tissue but I'm unsure what happens inside the cochlea.  I would
appreciate any info.
