Ultrasonic motion detectors

On an anecdotal experience-
	When doing graduate outplacement at the VA, it was common
knowledge that some sort of anti-theft device in the gift shop of the
hospital made it unbearable for hearing-aid users...  I'm not sure if this
was due to motion sensors or not.  Users reported no amplification and odd
buzzes in their aids.
