RFI Published on Classroom Acoustic Accessibility

A Request for Information (RFI) on classroom acoustic accessibility has
been published by the US Architectural and Transportation Barriers
Compliance Board, an independent Agency of the US Government. Its aim is
to determine whether building acoustics standards and guidelines are
needed to ensure acoustical accessibility for students impacted by
excessive noise and reverberation, to include hearing, language, and
learning disabled children. Comments are solicited until July 31 1998
for the purpose of rulemaking. This exceptionally well written document
