Voice Box Removed

My mother has reciently had her voice box removed in an operation to remove
a tumer in her throut. She is using a Dectalk at the moment, but it's voice
in to electronic. Does anyone know of a product that could be loaded on a
P.C. or WinCE that would sound better and posible use her own voice that we
recorder before the OP.
There was a product called text to speech by Microsoft about four years ago
and I belive that there should have been some advances .
