Papers are sought for a special session on Noise and Learning for
Inter.Noise 2000
27-30 August, 2000 in Nice, France (French Riviera.)

Welcomed subjects include:

Impact of transportation and community noise sources on schools or
learning.

Impact of classroom acoustics on learning.

National, regional, or local experiences with acoustical standards for
schools.

Assessment of classroom acoustics: methods or findings.

Impact of teaching style (e.g., traditional classroom vs group learning;

distance learning; special education) on classroom acoustical
requirements.

Special acoustical needs (e.g., to acommodate language or hearing
disabled students.)

Cost - benefit studies of acoustics for learning spaces.

Strategies to improve learning space acoustics by architectural,
engineering, administrative, educational, legislative or other means.

We look forward to hearing from scholars and practitioners in this
field,
